Mentoring and Teaching

Alongside the Syrian scheme, TWR is increasingly involved in supporting unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASCs) in West Kent.  These are young men and women, typically aged 16-18, who have made their way independently to England. Many are in legal limbo, and have only limited  upport from social services. TWR has been awarded funding to set up a mentoring scheme to support these young people, and will be recruiting mentors for the programme in the weeks and months ahead.

TWR is also setting up a programme to teach English to UASCs. We will be recruiting voluntary teaching and support staff over the coming weeks and months.

If you are interested in either scheme please let us know by emailing, and watch our website over the coming weeks for more information.
